BF (or pumping) and AF

I have been E pumping for 10 months not and I am starting to get AF. I was just wondering if anyone noticed a change in their supply once AF came.

YES. I just got AF at 14 m pp and have unfortunately taken a hit in supply. Every-time I spoke to my LC about dips in my supply before AF, she always said "you may be getting your period." So once I got AF I expected to take a hit.

I actually got aunt flo back 4 months pp (ughhhh). At that point, I was mostly pumping instead of putting him on the breast since I had gone back to work. Anyhow, prior to aunt flo, i had a huge surplus in my supply, and once aunt flo came back, it dropped exactly to how much Milk i needed per day. Now at 9 months, i continue to produce exactly what i need, but during the week aunt flo is around, i work extra hard since it usually leaves me an ounce or two short a day, if i dont throw in an extra nursing/pumping session.

With DS1, I got AF at 7 months PP. I had a pretty big dip in my supply the week before and during AF. It was better once AF was gone, but in general, my supply started to tank around 9-10 months PP. I'm hoping AF stays away even longer this time.

BF (or pumping) and AF

I got AF back after 4 months and I definitely noticed a dip in my supply. I drank mother's milk tea daily and took Fenugreek supplements. Honestly, I didn't notice much of a difference, but I was able to BF and pump for another 2 months after that until I willingly (but also regretably) gave it up.
