DD didn't like the brown vits so Ped gave her a script for just flouride drops- and they are grape flavored or peach flavored. She loves it!

I don't give fluoride, not a fan of the effects in can have. We do fluoride toothpaste, and a rinse before bed.

If you do a little research on the internet, you can find some of the potential issues regarding fluoride. I personally don't think it's necessary for us.

fluoride supplements in toddlers
Fluoride in digestable form is for the teeth that are forming still (whether it be baby teeth or adult teeth) while the fluoride in toothpaste is to continue to protect the teeth that your dc already has. That is what I was told by the pediatric dentist that I bring DD and DS to.
DS takes little chewable fluoride tablets. Once a day and has no problems with them.

This is what I was told as well. It helps their teeth to form harder and stronger which HOPEFULLY may prevent decay and cavities later on. I took flouride vits as a kid too- never had a side effect and my teeth are crazy good now!

Completely agree. Flouride is a toxic substance. It is an industrial waste product, which may also be contaminated with lead, arsenic, radionucleotides, aluminum and other industrial contaminants.
Suffolk County peeps, why do you think we no longer have flouride in our drinking water? It's because it's toxic.

DD has a prescription for fluoride only drops that are grape flavored. She gets her vitamins OTC (gummy bears). We initially let her try chewable fluoride vitamins, and she threw them up I can't blame her, they taste gross. Now she's happy to eat gummies and get grape flavored drops!

I agree. There are studies that show it replaces the bone mineral and is a cause of bone cancer. It seems to be more of an issue with boys. Our ped recommended no flouride. If you look up flouride controversy you will find info.
