Need help finding/identifying these two toys
DS plays with two toys regularly at school. No one actually knows what they are called.
1. They are flexible accordian like plastic tubes that connect/plug into other pieces to make things like a robot or a dog.
2. The other are stick like things with one end being a ball and the other a socket so they connect to each other.
Please help! I couldnt find anything based on my search criteria!

Pop tubes...My son used them in OT
Tinker Toys....Is like the wooden sticks with connecters...

Pop tubes...maybe But i cant find any sets where they attach to accessories (like shoes and heads or robot bodies) which is what he plays with at school...and they are thinner. 
2. No, not tinker toys. What I'm looking for are plastic. They are one piece. With a ball at one end and a socket at the other.

they have no idea what they are called - I asked. They are stored in generic plastic bins. They have story time on saturday. i am going to take a picture

Gears is what #1 sounds like. Leaning Resources I believe makes them. We have a wacky wigglers set.oh nevermind, they are not accordian.

No..they are not that big...they are more peg sized. they have to be used by OTs because when DS was going for speech, the OT gym had the bendy, accordion toy too. Argh...I'm driving myself nuts
Toy #1 is like those pop toobs but then there are different pieces like the body of a robot with holes where the tubes would connect into to make legs and arms.
