Do lego duplos ever go on sale?
3yo DS LOVES legos. Most of the sets we have were gifts. There are a few sets that I've seen him like (animals) that we do not have.
Do they ever go on sale?
Has anyone seen any good deals?

I get our legos from the lego store. I signed up on the vip program and that gives $5 back after so many purchases and they send coupons in the mail. I think Target will have some dulpos on sale for black friday. TRU said that legos will be on sale for black friday as well, but I am not sure if it includes duplos.

Do lego duplos ever go on sale?
If you have a Kid Stuff Coupon book, there is a $20 off $100 purchase good for the Lego store in there. TRU, and Kmart often have buy one get one half off sales. Barnes and Nobles sells several styles as well, and they always have toy coupons around the holidays for like 40-50% off an item.

I just bought some and found them cheaper at Walmart that Toys R Us. They were the girl ones, like the snow whites cottage and cinderellas castle, quite a difference in price, check out Walmart!

at what age can children start playing with the duplos?
I think DS got his first set at around 18m. At the time, he just threw them around. The mega blocks were more appropriate around that age.
At 2, he started with the duplos and has not gone back. He probably has around 10 sets and never gets sick of them.
I wish we could just buy the special pieces and skip the regular ones. We already have a ton of the regular ones.
I don't think you can buy just the animal figures separately.
