headache on top of child's head

So DD was complaining on Sat the top of her head was hurting. She stopped complaining about it then started again yesterday. Finally she woke today still complaining on and off but now feeling warm. She was 100.5 - but up to 103 at bedtime. Anyone had a child complain the top of her head hurts? Figuring I should take her to the ped but seems like it is just a virus everytime. Just concerned that her head hurt on and off for 2 days before the fever started.

Anyone else have this?

It could be something as simple as a sinus infection or something as serious as meningitis.. And I only say that because of my EMS background. Headache and then high fever... Normally kids that young don't usually complain about a headache.. Ask her if her neck hurts at all. Take her to the pedi tomorrow to get her checked out..

No neck pain I immediately checked her for that (no neck pain and cantouch chin to chest) and she isn't acting very sick aside from complaining about her head. She had the same headache about 3 weeks ago with a virus but the ped dismissed it as a fever headache. Her nose was clear at that time. But now she had it 2 days before the fever started so I can't see it as a fever headache. I had thought of sinusitis but...she says her forehead and her cheeks don't hurt. I have never heard someone or heruntil recently say the top of her head hurts so I was she points to the top center of her head when you ask about where it hurts.
