Baby Monitor Question

I have the Sony Baby Call Baby Monitor for my DD and we're expecting a little Chat Icon in March so we need another monitor.

If I bought the same monitor again and set both of the bedroom units (transmitters) to the same exact settings/frequencies would I be able to pick up both kids (different rooms and bases) on the same one parent unit?

Probably a dumb question but just in case anyone has tried I figured I would ask. I was trying to avoid using two different monitors at once so if I could configure the two units to pick up both kids on the one parent unit that would be so much easier. Thanks! Chat Icon

Re: Baby Monitor Question

I don't thin there is a way to do it. I was researching it recently since our audio monitor stopped working and we needed a new one. I couldn't find any info saying you could add on a child part. All the ones I seen sold had 2 parent monitor with 1 child monitor.

We wound up getting the Motorola video monitor. We didn't want a video but with the video you can add up I think 4 cameras to 1 parent monitor. I also didn't want 2 separate monitors.

I actually love having the video now. I was fine without but now I can what dd is doing in there. It's cool haha.

Re: Baby Monitor Question

We originally didn't want a video monitor either but then someone brought up a good point to me:

If baby cries or whimpers, you can see on the video whether they are still sleeping and if you really need to get out of bed, or if they are working it out on their own. I can't even tell you how many times this has saved us from going in to DS's room and possibly really waking him up when all he was trying to do was get comfortable in a new position. The video monitor really has been great.

Yea, I may just break down and do the video thing. It's either that or have two different parent units in the den. Chat Icon
