BTDT: potty training and crib

Should you potty train while DC is still sleeping in their crib? How does this work? Do they need to be in a bed before I start training?

I am looking to start training DD after the holidays. What do you do if they are still in crib? Maybe I should wait until we move her into a bed..

DS is 3 and still in his crib. I am potty training as I type this. on day 3...I figured once I get him daytime trained, we are converting his bed and will then deal with nite training. he is in a pullup for nite time.

I put on a diaper at night.

It's been dry the last 2 days. We are about 2 weeks in to potty training. I like having him in the crib. I don't plan on converting the bed til he's 3.
