Could someone help me with this project I am doing for my DDs..

If you could name one lesson you have learned in your life or if you have a saying/quote that you live by that you would like to pass to your LOs..can you share it. I am working on a project that one day want to share with my DDs.

Thanks!

"Stand up for what you believe in even if you stand alone."

Also, here is a lesson I "taught" my son. I did post it on here when it happened and people disagreed with why I was so annoyed, the lesson still remains the same:

I started my christmas shopping the second week of November this year, as I had just had a baby and wanted to avoid all the crowds. There were a couple of things that I never gave for the holidays (wound up getting them something else) and decided to wait until after the holiday return madness ended. Today, i went to the outlets to do just that. Everything was fine in the Coach store and then i went to Ann Taylor. I browsed at the clearance rack, grabbed a pair of jeans and went to the register. I handed her the items I was returning along with my receipt and the jeans I wanted to buy. She then tells me that I cannot have back what I paid for the items. That I can only have current selling price because it was past 60 daysChat Icon Now I'm mad so I told her fine...here's my debit...just credit me...I dont want the jeans now. She said that was fine, that I paid by debit. i guess the manager at this point overheard and came over and asked if there was a "problem." I told her that I did not appreciate not getting a full refund when I had a receipt CLEARLY showing that I paid full price in November. Her reply was that if I looked at the back of my receipt I would CLEARLY see that this was their policyChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon and that I also do not get a refund back only store credit regardless of how I paid...ok...now I am not mad I am royally pizzed off. so I told the girl that I would take the jeans because I would certainly WOULD NOT BE COMING BACK. I took the gift card and was about to say some choice words to the snot azz manager when I lookked down at my son who was STARING at me. Now i KNOW he didnt understand what was going on but I believe he felt my VIBE and was going to feel that vibe all day with my mood so I just gave my gift card to some lady standing in line behind me (she was totally shocked) and as I walked out of the store I told my son, "Anger is bad for you. It is not good to hold on to it. Whenever you feel like saying or doing something in anger, do somethign nice for someone instead. It will make you feel better." And know what? It didChat Icon

Re: Could someone help me with this project I am doing for my DDs..

No matter how bad life may seem, there's someone else out there with the same woes and today is a GOOD day in their books

..

In other words, appreciate all you have right now because so many others would love to trade places with you, even on your WORST days. Pick up your chin, pull back your shoulders, hold your head high and keep going. It may not be fun and it may not be pretty, but the day will end and tomorrow's a new one.

... and my other one is...

Be careful what you say to people. The words "I'm sorry" never actually remove the pain or the damage caused. Choose wisely.

Good things come to those who wait.

Doing the right thing is not always the same as doing the easy thing.

Years from now, people may not always remember the clothes/shoes/etc. you wore and the exact words you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel.

"What is right is not always popular"

I love this quote. It can apply to SO many things in life. I've often reminded myself of it when I felt alone in my opinions.
