I have never done this before and am looking for a little guidance.
A friends sister does photography on the side. (she has a degree in it, but does not work it full time.) She has offered me to do a shoot with the girls at our house for $250 and she will give me a disk with all the prints.
Does this sound like a good deal?

I would see her work or samples (degree or no degree.) If she is offering a high res disk and prints and setting up in your house - yes that is very inexpensive.

she is not offering me prints, just a disk. Her work is good. I attended many of her art shows when she was in school

If u have seen her childrens work and like it and its propery exposed, in focus, etc, then yes, its an excellant price.
