How do you keep a 6mth entertained?
DS does not stay still in his bouncy anymore (and I totally get hes at an age where he wants to explore) on my lap hes the same way, very wiggly. Is there anything I can buy for him where he wont fall off of and will keep him entertained for a while?

How do you keep a 6mth entertained?
My dd always wants to sit up. But the prob is she is still wobbly and will fall over lol. So sometimes I just sit with her and hold her up or prop her up with toys in front of her. I got a bumbo for her but she twists her body and tries to free herself all the time so i dont really use it. She tolerates her tummy time well now so she'll usually roll over herself and play all over her playmat. That keeps her busy for a while. Thats my #1 item at the moment. Once she becomes mobile and can sit up, I'll prob stick her in her pack n play with toys. She doesn't get the whole jumperoo thing yet... Prob bc she can barely reach the floor. Sometimes well read but I mostly leave that for nighttime. The interactive books keep her attention and keep her still for a while.

Do you have an excersaucer or jumperoo? DD loves to stand so she really likes both of those. I also still have her on the playmat a lot or just sitting on the floor. I put a pillow behind her just in case and giver her some small toys. Sometimes I'll sit her in the highchair and give her a mesh teether with an ice cube in it which keeps her happy for a while. Her other new favorite is a music table. We don't have the legs on it yet so she can use it while sitting. We'll usually sit her in the corner of our L-shaped couch with that in front of her which works out great.

How do you keep a 6mth entertained?
My DS is such a squirmer! And it seems to get worse by the day! I try to pit him on the floor more or in the pack and play if I cant sit with him for whatever reaolson. He also goes in the saucer or on our bed but he really does not stay content for long. I always worry i am not letting him roam freen enough for muscle development but our apt is so small there arent many places for him to go. :/

He has an exersaucer that he loooooves. I can plop him in there and know I can clean up,etc while he is contained. I also often put him on a blanket on the floor with a bunch of toys and he hangs out and plays wit them.

He has an exersaucer but his feet dont quite touch the floor yet so Im afraid to leave him in there for too long and I put him on the activity mat on the floor and he doesnt last very long. He hates being on his back.

Can you put something underneath. We used a phone book and a square from her foam mat under the jumperoo for a while. You could also do a folded blanket.

He hates being on his back. He should be on his tippy toes in the exersaucer. I put Al bear in that and the activity mat, loves them. We have to try out the jumper we have for the doorway also.

My friend has a DS the same age and he loves hiis jumper for the doorway also. I agree with PPs to put something underneath his feet in the exersaucer so his feet can touch. Re: the mat, can he roll yet? I put my DS on the mat on his back and he tries to roll around . Its pretty funny to watch because he hasn't mastered it yet

I'm sure it's a silly question, but do you have it set on the lowest position? DD was in hers starting at 4 months and barely needed something under her then. She's still on the lowest setting now at 6 months and her feet are flat on the bottom (but they dangle at the next height so I haven't switched it yet). We have the baby einstein around the world version.

I put DD in the high chair when I'm cooking and I giver her a bunch a toys. I also put down a blanket in the living room if I'm folding clothes or something and I let her get in some tummy time with toys.
I find I have to change the toys a lot to keep her interested. If I put her on the floor with the same stuff she cries.

At 6 months DS was pulling up and cruising. And then crawling so I just let him go. At that point we could not put him in any jumperoo type thing

We use the jumperoo with a pillow underneath her..... When all else fails she is also entranced by Yo Gabba Gabba.
