coming to Long Island from CT
is it able to to be done?
Up in CT, they are saying that it is impossible to get onto long island, but as I understand Throgs neck is open and LIE is clear.
one of my friends was going to come tomorrow, since i have power and she won't be getting it back on for 4 more days.

Definitely. My parents came from LI to westchester and back yesterday and my bf has gone from CT to westchester and back Tuesday. All is clear but traffic will probably suck!

Drove from southern CT to LI yesterday and back today via Merritt and Hutch, over the Whitestone Bridge. No issues whatsoever.

The port Jeff ferry that leaves from Bridgeport is running. That might be quicker than the bridges at this point.

I'm not sure where on Long Island but yes the Whitestone and throngs neck are open and she should be able to make it. I do a Bronx/queens commute and have had no troubles. Just make sure she has gas!
