I never put shoes on either of my boys that young. I don't see a reason for it, honestly. I never bought any kind of shoe until they were starting to take steps, and then I bought the Robeez type shoes (soft and flexible). When my first was fully walking (14 months), I bought him regular sneakers. Once they start standing, wearing hard soled shoes can impede the acquisition of walking skills, which is why only soft shoes are recommended. HTH!

ITA. For DS's 1st winter he was 2-5 months old. I just kept socks on him, and sometimes those booties that come with outfits. Last year DS was walking already and had a pair of step 2 stride rite shoes.
If you really want something, robeez or pedipeds would be the best thing.

Thanks ladies. I honestly would rather just keep him in socks I just see so many young babies with shoes on that I thought I should follow the trend lol.

This. Except for holidays, then I put something cute on her feet.........even though it only lasted for the pictures.

We only use socks but I did buy fleece booties from Old Navy just to have for really cold days so his feet stay warm.

DS is 10m and walking. He only has shoes on when we are going somewhere where I think he will be safe to walk. Otherwise it's just socks

I only bought the Robeeze . which is kinda slipper like.. didn't want to give a solid shoe until after he was walking.
