How do you give those God awful baby vitamins to your baby?
The nicu said they give .5 ml in 10 ml formula and the other .5 ml under the tongue. That stuff is all bubbly so I ended up giving twin 2 most under her tongue and a lot dripped out. I tried to wash it down with just formula but 2 seconds later she spat up her whole bottle.
Twin 1 was getting it in nicu and winged at the straight up .5 and refused the bottle
They said not to fill the whole bottle since they won't like it and might not take it.
So how do you get these vitamins into them? I can't blame them. They smell nasty.

Do you mean the tri vi sol?
my mom is a nurse and she had told me to take any medicine and shoot it at their inside cheek- that way they dont choke and usually they are startled and just swallow it.
Not gonna lie at the beginning, ds would try and get it out of his mouth, so I used to just press his lips together. Now he actually (at 2) likes it

ha, i actually stopped doing it because he just spit it out or dribbled it all over his mouth and neck and it stained the changing pad or his clothes.
i mentioned it to the dr and he didn't seem too concerned, so i'm not either

Ugh I feel so bad force feeding her. I probably should have done it before she ate too. Lol. Poor baby.

How do you give those God awful baby vitamins to your baby?
DD actually likes them. I give it in about 3 or 4 parts and squirt it in the back inside her cheek. She swallows and then tries to grab it when she's ready for more.

I have been adding it to DS bottle since he started taking it. Since I BF in the beginning I would put it in a pumped bottle and then when we swtiched to FF i just put it in the morning bottle.

How do you give those God awful baby vitamins to your baby?
My DD loves them! I ask her if she wants her vitamins and she runs over to me and opens her mouth. I wouldn't put them in the bottle because you are not supposed to give them the vitamins within 2 hours of having any dairy.

Now my twins love them, but for months. Like just home from the nicu till 10 months old, did not tolerate they and would throw everything up.
we just ended up not giving it to them. and would re-try them every few weeks.

this!! my ds actually likes them but he chokes on it. so this is what we do then a few minutes later he gets his nighttime bottle..

I mix into first bottle of the day, which he always finished. However, I don't think my Ped had me give any vitamin until he was a few months old (I forget when).

The ped recommended them and seemed shocked I wasn't already giving them. Maybe I'll wait a few weeks.

I put them in his oatmeal and when he came home from the NICU I would add it to his bottle.

My kids loved them. You can get them flavored at Target for free, they'll tell you what flavors mix best if you want.
