I'm sorry but this study is BS to me. They say the milk isn't worth it because it doesn't have any additional nutritional value, but that is not why I give DD organic milk - it is because of the hormones. I just can't believe that the hormones they give cows don't affect kids.

In my opinion I honestly dont place much reliance on anything the AAP says...and this...

"Ingestion of milk from estrogen-treated cows appears to be safe for children," they said, adding that there doesn't seem to be much difference in the sex-hormone concentrations in organic and conventional milk. Instead, to reduce exposure, drink skim. The more fat content in milk, whether organic or not, the higher the concentration of estradiol, the report found.

"appears" to be safe?
"much difference"?

I will continue to buy organic dairy for my kids and if it means cutting back on items for myself I will do so but this is my opinion only and how I choose to feed my kids.

The nutritional value is only part of it, they are saying the hormones they give cows don't reach the milk.

I really dont know what to believe anymore!

I'd want to see the study before I change my opinion.

That article is complete BS. I buy organic dairy and meat for several reasons:

1. The animals are treated more humanely

2. No antibiotics or hormones

3. The animals are given organic feed that does not contain any pesticides or GMOs.

Even if you believe that the growth hormones that they give the cows doesn't reach the milk, they have not taken into account the fact that they are milking cows while these cows are pregnant. Pregnant cows have an increase in estrogen which undoubtedly is also in the milk.

I'll stick with organic milk.
