The parties?
I'm due with DC around the same time as DS's third birthday. I want to celebrate with a party but I'm concerned that I be either VERY PREGNANT and uncomfortable or will have a fussy newborn to care for.
I'd have the party at one of the "party places" but DS isn't in preschool until next year and I'm afraid we won't have enough kids to meet the minimum and I don't want to pay a lot if there is just a handful of kids.

I was pregnant with DD when DS turned two. I had about 12 kids at a party place a few weeks before his birthday so I could be comfortable. DS and DD are two years and two months apart.

My children are 2 years, 2 weeks and 1 day apart. I was very pregnant when my oldest turned 2. We had a party at home with close relatives and their young kids. At that age he did't really have any friends so there was no need for a kids party at all.
When my kids entered school I started having joint parties for them at the kiddie party places. This year will be the first time they will have 2 separate parties because at the age of 7 and 5 and being of different gender they now have completely separate friends and interests.
