What is the going rate for a housekeeper?
We have cleaning people come for $140 to clean the entire house. A team of 2-3 usually take 2-3 hours total.
We want a part time housekeeper to help us clean, cook, and do laundry.
How much should we expect to pay?
Is $15/hr too low?
We want to get rid of our weekly cleaners and have someone work 10-20 hours per week.

We did exactly this and paid $15. Honestly for us it didnt work. I found that the cleaning was not as deep and the laundry was very time consuming (6 people in our family). In the end we went back to cleaning people every 2 weeks, $150 each time for that. I am thinking about getting someone once a week to prepare meals though. I struggle to keep up with the laundry.
