What do you think is the ideal age spacing for 3 kids?
What do you think is ideal age spacing for 3 siblings?
After saying DH was DONE having kids, he is now open to going for a third. I THINK I want to try for a 3rd child next year when I turn 35yo. If I got pregnant sometime next year, the boys would be 3 and 5 when the third child would be born. I was thinking it may be manageable because DS#1 would start kindergarten and DS#2 would be in preschool.

in my own perfect little world, if i had any control over when my kids could be born, it would be within 1-2 years of each other. so when DD is 2 i would like for our second LO to already have been born or is just about due.
But only you can decide what is best for you and your family.
Some people space their kids further apart, like 4or 5 years out so that when it comes time for schooling, like college, your not paying for both at the same time. Totally up to you...

I think 2-3 years is good.
My older 2 were 4 & 5 when #3 was born and I wish there were closer in age.
I have now an 18 month old, 5 and 6.5 year old and the baby is ALL OVER THE PLACE and it makes it difficult when I have to bring the older one to soccer practice or games. She doesn't sit still. I feel like if I had gotten pg right away (it took 8 months) then I would have a 2 year old and it would have been a little easier.

Mine are each about 2 years apart; it's hectic especially with a toddler and an infant but I wouldn't want to get too far out of babyhood before going for a third just because I once I am out, I am OUT!

TTC now and if all goes well my children will be 4.5yrs & just about 3.5yrs when baby is born.
Everyone is different but I thought this would be ideal for our situation.

When baby #3 is born, my oldest will be 4 and my DS#2 will be 2 1/2

when #3 is born my dd#1 will be 3 months shy of turning 5 and my dd#2 will be a couple of weeks shy of turning 3

My older two turned 6 and 8 right after #3 arrived. While I hadn't really planned on there being that much age difference before #3, it's worked out really well and I don't mind it at all. The older two are in school and it's me and the baby. While I was essentially "starting over", it was an easy process and I now feel complete with my family.

My first two are 20mos apart, and then it was 26mos.
They're now 4.5yo, almost 3yo, and 7mos and I'm wishing I hadn't waited so long between #2 and #3.

I think 3 years is great..... ds is 3 1/2, dd was just born. He wants to help out around the house, help out with the baby. Old enough to not feel like the baby is taking away time from him.

My twins and my 3rd are 26 months apart. If we had a 4th, there would probably be more like 3ish years between #3 and #4.
