Staying up later
For the past couple nights DD does not want to go to bed at her normal 7:30 to 8:30 bedtime. She wants to stay up till around 10pm. She will start crying when I bring her up and cry and cry until I get her. She is almost 15 months. She goes down for naps fine. She always went down with no problem at all. Most of the time she would actually try to jump out of my arms into the crib. Nothing has changed. Today she only napped for 45 minutes and will not go to sleep.
I just don't get it.

Re: Staying up later
Could she be overtired?
We are transitioning to 1 nap very slowly but 45 minutes doesn't seem like a very long nap time for the whole day. Do you think she would go down for a quick nap later in the day?

Well usually she will take anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hour nap. Yesterday she took a 2.5 hour nap, and today was rare with 45 min. But yesterday was the same thing.

Staying up later
My son just turned a year and has been doing the same thing....I'm going out of my mind. He had always been a good sleeper. Now he only naps for a half an hour and then at night does not want to sleep. Mind you he's up from 12 noon until about 9:30 at night. We give him his last bottle at 7:30 pm and when my husband lays him in his crib, he will wake up from dozing during that bottle. He screams until one of us gets him.. Then he's up until about 9:30. He will proceed to wake up at random times throughout the night....it's crazy...this has been going on for a couple of weeks now. You are not alone...I feel your pain. Wish I could offer some sort of advice!

Did she just learn something new?
I think she's been walking for a while, right?
Maybe new words or something else that she's "practicing" in her head?
I hope its just a phase! 45 minutes is not enough for baby or her mommy!!!!!!!

Staying up later
Update: She fell alseep standing up in the crib, this is how exhausted she was and how hard she was fighting it! She also has not been eating much dinner and wants to eat a whole banana at like 9pm. She has said a lot of new words, and now likes to spin around in circles. I also think she may just be testing her boundaries because of the dinner thing too. She will eat fishies and pretzels but not the dinner she has been eating for months. Arissa she has also been waking around 4 or 5am a couple times this week and then I would bring her in my bed till around 7, last night I let her whine a little and she stopped after a couple minutes.
