BTDT- Graco INfant Carrier
Which one did you use and and at what age did your DC grow out of it (at what age did you have to start using the regular car seat?)
I have the GracoSnugride22 and I think DD has outgrown it--thinking of getting the 35 instead if it will take her another few months.

Re: BTDT- Graco INfant Carrier
I wouldn't buy another infant seat.. DS was out of his infant seat by 8 months. It got too heavy to carry and he didn't like it very much. Most babies outgrow them height wise before the weight limit is reached... We put him into his convertible car seat (rear facing)....

I have 35's for my twins. They are 13 months old (11 months adjusted) and I think they will be in them through the winter. they weigh 15/16 lbs and are 27/28 in tall. The 35's go to 32 inches tall.

Re: BTDT- Graco INfant Carrier
We had DD in her infant carrier (the Chicco Keyfit 30) until she was about 11 months old. She hit 30 inches and we had to switch, but she was still only about 19 pounds. By that point, though, it was already getting tough to carry her around - by about 9 months old, I couldn't carry her in the seat with one hand anymore so it was kind of a struggle. And she's small - like the 20th percentile for weight. If she'd weighed as much as an average baby, I would have wanted to dump the infant seat by about 9 months.

Re: BTDT- Graco INfant Carrier
I had the lightest graco infant carrier. I think the 22 and i still hated carrying it around. I stopped using at 6 months and put my DD in the convertable carseat ( rear facing). It was so much better and she was much happier in the convertable seat. There really isnt a reason to buy another infant carrier unless The baby falls asleep in it and can stay asleep in it after you pull it out of the car. Thats the only benefit I can see....

DS just outgrew his snugride at 5 months old & we moved him to his convertible seat. My little monster was 28" & 20lbs at his 4 1/2 month ped visit, so he was nearly at the seats height & weight limit. He loves his new seat & it's so much easier than lugging the infant seat around.
