Am I insane? (b-day party tomorrow)
Be honest. We are having DD's birthday party tomorrow. Just immediate family, which includes my nieces and nephews (ages 2.5, 5, 9, and 13). Total including kids and me and DH is 15 people.
I was having all the food and everything set up indoors and most of seating outside so kids can run around and whatever. Figure this is going to be from about 12:30-3:30.
I didn't think this was a big deal since it will be in the 50s and sunny, and most people own sweaters and jeans. Am I nuts?

No! As long as people know that it will be an indoor/outdoor party they will dress appropriately. High 50's in the sun is very warm.

Not crazy--I'd just be sure everyone knows its outdoors. Sometimes if I'm just going from car to house I don't bring a coat. Unless you have a few to spare!!

Everyone is definitely aware - it's my DH that thinks I'm nuts (why he waits until TODAY to say this is beyond my comprehension). I honestly thought it would be better for the kids and it's not like it's going to be 35 degrees.

I would make sure everyone knows that it is an indoor/outdoor party so they can dress appropriately. DS was invited to one for tomorrow too.

Not at all. Just be prepared to have some peeps indoors.
I'm a big baby when it comes to the cold. The second the sun goes away I'm the first to ***** and run inside unless I have a few in me then I'm ok.lol
I can't believe baby bear is turning 1next week.
I still have her announcement card on my fridge

Nah I don't think your insane for that! My nephews bday party is on Sunday, and they plan on having it outside as well. I agree, just be prepared for some people to want to go indoors!

thanks all- yeah i guess i was just not stressing about the outdoor thing because well, it's my parents, my sisters, my BIL's, the 4 kids, and MIL and her husband. It's not like they wouldn't just GO inside whenever they felt like it, KWIM?
Perhaps I will take down the superyard that's encompassing my living room, just incase.

But as for your question - I think it will be perfect as long as you're ok with people hanging inside too.
And definitely word of mouth to those invited since its a small group so people come prepared.
I love the fall and would much rather an outdoor party in this kind of weather than a 100+ degree day!
