My middle guy is turning 3 and we're thinking of going away for a train weekend for his bday instead of a party. He is soooo into trains that we looked at staying there. We did a different hotel in the past but it's booked this time around. Looks really kitchy though so DH and I are a little hesitant.

I looked into this place a while back, and the reviews on Tripadvisor weren't good.

We drove past it last month and it looks really run down. I'm a little bit of a germaphobe, but I wouldn't stay there.

Yes. This summer we did 2 nights Eden and one night Red Caboose during Day Out w/ Thomas. I don't know if I'd return. Ds would have to reaaalllly want it. Inside is like a cheap damp motel room with bed and bedding to match. Plus once we were in the room 2y/o ds sort of like forgot we were even in a train, lol.

I would eat dinner there, but I would not stay in the hotel. We were very happy with the best western eden resort.
