what time of day do they discharge after delivery?
It seems like if baby isn't in NICU they discharge in the morning..... Around what time?

It will depend when your doctor gets to you on their to rounds to release you.

around 11, but we didnt leave until almost 1. A nurse came in and went over anything and everything with us. Then there were papers to fill out and such.

what time of day do they discharge after delivery?
it depends on your doctor. i was released at 8pm but my baby was in the NICU and i did not have a normal birth experience.

My first, I was discharged by my dr at about 7am. But it was aboutm4 when i actually left the hospital. Dd was in the nicu, and would be there for 5 weeks.
Number 2, he discharged me in the am, and I left around 1. She was in the step down nicu so we had to,get the all clear from the neonatologist.

My Dr came to see me in the morning both times. The first time, I wanted to stay until the late afternoon so I was discharged then (I had to wait for a shift change). The second time I wanted out of there as soon as possible and was discharged around 1pm.

Stony brook wanted us out by 11 I believe. We weren't out until about 12. Discharge process takes a while.

I filled out all the hospital discharge paperwork early in the morning (7 am), and they said as soon as my OB showed up to clear me to go home, I could. My OB got there around 10 am or so, we chatted for a bit, I called my DH and off we went.

I agree. They said 10am but it was really closer to 12-1 before we got the green light.

With my youngest I was discharged around 11. With ds it was around 7pm. He was in the NICU @ North Shore and we were hoping he was discharged with me but wasn't. With my oldest it was around 10 if I'm not mistaken( it was 15 yrs ago)
