Any small pumpkin patches in Suffolk?
I want to take DD pumkin picking this weekend, but I'm 32 weeks pregnant and not in the mood to head to the big farms out east.
Are there any small pumkin patches or nurseries around?
I know of one Church at 5 corners in Ronkonkoma that sells pumkins every year, but it's very close to the intersection and I don't want to worry about her running off into the street.

Woodside Nursery in Patchogue. They have pumpkins and things for kids, just on a smaller scale then the places out east.

Re: Any small pumpkin patches in Suffolk?
My Aunt and cousins work at Schmitts and thats where we went last year. Still too big for me this year, I just want to get in and out quickly this year.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I have heard of Woodside Nursery, I think DD is actually going on a field trip there, but I will check it out!

That's funny!
Definitely check out Elwood, I pass it ALL the time and it's definitely low key, even on weekends. It's not very big at all. They don't even have a website or anything, it's just pumpkins in a patch in the fall and Christmas trees in the winter. Oh and there's a farm house next door where you can buy pies. Who can resist pie??

Re: Any small pumpkin patches in Suffolk?
We just went to "organic farms today" (I think that's the name) in east islip off carelton ave. It was a small patch and it was perfect for me (35 weeks pregnant). No crowds, no lines and it was pretty cheap. It didn't have the typical petting zoos for kids and all that stuff but they had a tractor pulled hay ride and those little face cutouts to take pictures with.

I'd do the one in Brightwaters or the one in East Islip
