For those who potty trained right on the toilet
If you went straight to the big toilet for potty training, did you use or need a stool for DC to rest their feet? Much of what I read says it helps for them to push when they poop, but I have high toilets and my DS is small. His feet don't touch the stool! Is the stool really necessary?

For those who potty trained right on the toilet
we have a step. 2 different ones from ikea. he definitely uses them, and asks for them each & every time.
