Naps - 6-8 month olds
Babies are 7.5 months actual, 6 months adjusted. I'm having a hard time figuring out what the best schedule for them is.
A big problem is that I leave before they are awake for the day, and of course I want to BF them before I go to work. 2 days/week I BF them at 5 and 3 days/week at 6. Our caregiver is having a hard time getting them on a good nap schedule, despite my proposed schedule ideas. I feel like they should be on 2 naps/day now, but they're taking more than that. They are horrible sleepers at night - at least Hudson is. He's literally up every 1.5 hours and can't go back to sleep. I know I have to CIO with him soon, but he's my last baby (haha) and they still only have 1 crib and their room isn't ready. Stella sleeps better at night. Sorry if this is all really confusing, but I don't have their notebook here where my caregiver writes down all of their nap times, but I know they're totally wacky and want to figure out a better schedule for them.
How many naps is your LO taking?
What time do they wake up?
What time are their naps?
What time do they go to bed?

Re: Naps - 6-8 month olds
DS is a little over 6 months old. His naps are all over the place! He will take anywhere from 2-4 naps a day but most of them are 25-30 minutes long. Every once in a while we can get an hour long nap out of him but that's a rare occurrence. He usually goes to bed between 7:30-8pm and is a decent night time sleeper for the most part so I gave up on fighting him with the naps.
ETA: He wakes up anywhere between 6:30-7:30 depending on the day and whether or not my in laws are watching him.

Naps - 6-8 month olds
DS is 6 1/2 mos and is just starting to conform to the 2 nap a day schedule. He has been waking up around 5-5:30am, maybe taking a quick nap early in the day. He takes a nap from 9:30-1 and then goes down in the afternoon around 3pm. We didn't do anything to get him on this schedule - we followed his cues.
Unfortunately, at home he has been taking a crappy afternoon nap so he wants to go to bed before 7.
Yesterday at daycare though he took a good afternoon nap so he stayed up until 8 and woke up for the day at 6:30 (waking up once during the night). It was nice - both boys were in a pleasant mood.

Re: Naps - 6-8 month olds
my girls are currently 12 months old (10 months adjusted), but have been on this schedule for the past 4 months.
They wake up around 730-8ish bottle of BM when they wake up breakfast at 8 nap from 1030-1130 12ish bottle BM at 12 lunch at 130 nap 2-3 bottle BM at 3 nap from 5-6 dinner at 6 asleep by 745
Any of those naps can vary on length, especially with Lily. but we do put them down at the same time, together, everyday. Their room is always VERY dark and there is a LOT of white noise. They have learned to sleep through the other one crying. That was huge! For my girls, Alice is probably ready for 2 larger naps, but Lily is not. Therefore Alice has to take 3 naps also. Having them on different schedules is just not a option for us. That few minutes of down time is soooo necessary.

Re: Naps - 6-8 month olds
I don have a strict schedule. DS is 8 1/2 mos. He wakes between 630 and 7am most days unless he had a rough night.
He has his bottle and is asleep within the hour for up to an hr.
Then hes up and playing. I give him a bath between 1130 and 12, feed him and he's usually ready for his nap.
The last nap is between 3 and 5 and sometimes he skips it all together if he had a long nap at 12, sometimes he can sleep up to 2 to 3 hrs. (thanks to the bath)
I don't make DS nap, he shows signs that he's sleepy and I either rock him or put him in his crib.
