flu shot and under 2
Has anyone had any reaction to the flu shot with their toddler. my son is 14 months and I am waffling on getting it. Some people say their child got sick from it.
Any thoughts?

Re: flu shot and under 2
Both boys have been getting the flu shot since they were old enough. Around 6 months. Never had a reaction. My 3 yr old had to get 4 the first time b.c they gave two doses first time and at that time it was a separate flu and h1n1 shot. My 14 month old had it once and had no issues. I will have him get the shot next well visit. My 3 yr old goes to preschool so I'd rather keep both boys safe. Even if there was a small reaction and they got a little sick I'd rather that then them getting the full blown flu. I've heard horror stories.

DD has had the flu shot every year since she was 9 months old. She never had a reaction to it. She was actually required to get one in order to remain in daycare.

My DD got it as soon as it was safe- after 6 months old. She alos got it last winter No reaction at all. It is not a live virus so they can't get the flu from it.
