Road Trip help

We'll be leaving tomorrow for Pennsylvania, a 5 hour car ride. Are there any things you could suggest to keep a 13 month old entertained? I'm hoping she sleeps for some part of it but we'll have a packed car which will keep my little party animal wide awakeChat Icon
Thanks!

Re: Road Trip help

I brought tons of small toys- variety is key. Their attention span is so short.
So DD would look at one book for about 5 minutes then throw it. I was ready with another book.
Then another toy
Then another toy.
Does she watch TV? Can you bring a portable DVD player with DVD's of her favorite show?
That was a GOD send for us!

Oh and snacks of ALL kinds.

Re: Road Trip help

I do videos, neat snacks, videos, crayons or "magic" markers.
Then 1/2 way surprise them with a toy/activity to keep them busy.

At the end of the trip it all goes in a Tupperware & left in the car, so it's new again for the trip home.

We drive 10hours to FL or NY and little complaints!
