nickMOM?!

I just saw a commercial for Nickmom which will be starting soon at 10 pm! I don't know what I think about this. Not that my kids are watching tv at 10 pm but once in a while when they are sick or wake up in the middle of the night an i need to calm them down, it's nice to know that nickjr is on for them. When my kids are in bed, I can always turn on tlc, bravo, or whatever...i don't think i'll tune to nickjr even if there are "mom centered" shows on...and ps...why does it have to be called nick MOM?! what about dads?!

I was thinking the same thing. Nick is not going to be my go to station for after the kids go to bed. Plus, like you said, for certain nights when they are up at that hour, for whatever reason, it is nice to know I can put on Nck Jr. for them.
I think it will be short lived.

Risky move but I think it's a test to see if it gains a following and then may become a seperate channel.

I think it looks funny... I hope it works out... Should any kids be up at that time, there are plenty of other cartoon channels and not to mention a ton of dvr'ed shows.

I thought about the same thing regarding dads! I hope that they do somehow manage to get the toons back on. I guess there is always Disney Jr. for those rough sickly nights.

Re: nickMOM?!

Doesn't bother me, always wondered why cartoons were on so late. I have DVR though and On Demand so it's not like we can't put a kid show on at any time.

I am not happy about this either! I am on the west coast now so Nickmom will be 7pm here. My DC watch tv from 8-8:30 before bed. Now i have to make sure I DVR shows for them all the time! Grrrr

ETA I won't ever watch this... but if someone recommends a particular show maybe I would check it out... but I could never see this a being a go-to channel lol

Re: nickMOM?!

I'm going to try it.
I keep my TV on for background at night, I don't have any shows that I watch regularly, so I keep the channel on Nick, Sprout, or Cartoon Network. After a certain time some channels get pretty adult (especially the movie channels) or too bright, or just plain strange.
I remember when I was younger watching I Love Lucy on "Nick at Night"I don't know if that's even a channel anymore...I'm hoping for shows like that :)

Re: nickMOM?!

sadly im not even up that late watching tv. Im usually working on the computer or gettng ready for bed.

not sure how well this is going to go over. i'd rather watch classics that are re-run on Nick at Nite.
