When do you start to feed baby 3 meals per day?

DS will be 6 months on Oct 16. He seems to be a very hungry baby. He drinks 6oz every 3-4 hours and still 1 bottle usually during the night. He has been eating a veggie or fruit in late morning and then a veggie or fruit with cereal at night. I just started to add cereal with the morning veggie or fruit so that is 2 full meals....when do you give 3 meals per day? Thanks.

My ped said we coukd start now (at 6 months). We just started 2 meals a few weeks ago but we are going to try it out only because he has started waking in the middle of the night hungry. He hasnt done that for months so im not sure if its a growth spurt or if he isnt eating enough.

3 meals, not until about 10 months.

I did sometime during his 5th month...he was hungry and never really satisfied with the bottle...he is a big boy 90%

he did reduce the amount of formula and never looks for a feeding during the night...he sttn most of the time..and if he wakes..it's just to play in his crib


I give cereal/bottle in morning..veg/bottle. at lunch and cerea/bottlel for dinner.

DD will be 8 months next week and we are sort of just starting now. I tried about a month ago and she really wasn't interested in "lunch". She is/was also allergic to dairy, so I started just yesterday giving her yogurt since we believe she is no longer allergic as lunch. She is gobbling it up....so I guess as long as all goes well, we will be at 3 meals a day.
