Reese Witherspoon Welcomes Son Tennessee James
Oh, baby: Reese Witherspoon is a mom for the third time.
The actress gave birth to a son, Tennessee James Toth, on Thursday, Sept. 27, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth welcomed Tennessee James into their family today,” the rep says. “Both mom and baby are healthy and the entire family is thrilled.”
The baby is Witherspoon’s first child with her husband, whom she married in March 2011.
The actress, 36, who initially kept her pregnancy under wraps, subsequently showed off her baby bump all around the world over the spring and summer — from appearances at the Cannes Film Festival to lunches and errands at home in Los Angeles. “Frankly, I’m feeling very round,” she told reporters in June.
Witherspoon is already a mom to Ava, 13, and Deacon, 8½, from her prior marriage.
In March a source told PEOPLE that the actress was eager to have another child. “Right after the wedding, Reese expressed a desire to have a baby with Jim,” said the source. “Reese has been very open with her kids about her plans to expand the family.”

Yay for them, but I don't like the name. I will say I don't find it as off the wall as others though, and I wonder if there is a connection in either family to the names?

Awww congrats to them! Not sure about Tennessee, but if anyone could get away with naming their kid after a state, it's Reese. She can do no wrong in my eyes!

She named her first two kids such nice normal names and then this one Tennessee? doesnt go with Ava and Deacon. not liking the name at all

I love Reese, but I don't like the name they chose. It's not as terrible as other celeb baby names, but I still don't like it. I could hear it as a screen name or an author or something like that. But as an everyday name like, hi Tennessee how are you today? I hate it. Hopefully they will call him TJ, which I love.
