Pre K - Morning or afternoon?
When DD started Pre K I was adamant that she take the morning class and luckily she got that class and did it..now that DS will be going next year I am starting to consider sending him to the afternoon class -would start at 12.15pm.
The reason is that DD has assembly at school three mornings a week and she likes me to be there for that - if I send DS to the morning I would not be able to to to assembly with DD as they are two different schools and we would be late if we stayed. I figure he will be up and out the door the same as DD so he will be used to an early start anyway but we wont have to rush to get him to school.
The only downside I see is that I imagine by lunchtime he might start getting a little tired and therefore wont be interested in learning at school.
Any thoughts and especially if your DC went or goes to pre k in the afternoon.
Thanks

Pre K - Morning or afternoon?
My DS goes to pre-k in the afternoon starting at 1pm. I personally don't like it at all, but it is a universal pre-k program and the time options were limited. He seems fine with the time so far, but I would have preferred him going in the morning so the afternoon was free for playdates, errands, etc. He is up by 6:30am and I feel like the day is already over by the time he starts school, kwim?

Re: Pre K - Morning or afternoon?
DS does afternoon and I LOVE it..it breaks up the day and we don't have to rush out the door in the morning..its so nice. Plus i have an infant so its a lot less pressure to be up and out really early. It also breaks up the day for me. DS does leave at 11:10 to take the bus., maybe if he first left at 1pm, i may not like it. He gets home at 2:40, so far its working out GREAT!!! Another added benefit is that DS doesn't have to go to bed super early and can stay up to see his dad at night..it works for our family.
