At my wits end with DS lack of sleeping
Ds is going to be 7 months actual age 5 months adjusted age on October 2nd. For a while he was STTN, now all of a sudden he is waking up in the middle of the night. He did just learn to roll and I know that could be it as well, but I need help. DH created a monster! DS falls asleep in his swing every night and then DH transfers him to the pack n play in our room(due to the fact that my dryer is in my DS closet and wasn't vented outside, DS room was too unbareable to sleep in during the summer.) We finally can put DS in his crib since the dryer has been vented, but now he won't STTN in his crib or the pack n play. All this week when DS gets up in the middle of the night DH gets him up and brings him downstairs to put him back in his swing and DH is sleeping on the couch. We can't go on like this. Last night we tried letting him cry when he woke in the middle of the night. He woke up 3 times last night, 1 time he cried and then fell back, but the last time he cried for an hour and wouldn't go back to sleep so we put him in the swing just so we could get a few more hours of sleep. I'm exhausted and so is DH. If you read this whole thing you deserve a medal. Any help would be greatly appreciated as to how to get DS to STTN again. He is not teething from what we can see. I'm not sure if he's hungry because he will take a bottle when he gets up or if he's just looking for comfort from the bottle. He slept through the night for months and now all of a sudden he up 3 times a night. Help!!!

At my wits end with DS lack of sleeping
I wish I knew the answer here but we're not in much better shape! DD sttn for a while but stopped over a month ago. Now she's up once, sometimes three times at night. There's no consistency and it's not getting any better.
What does DS do for naps? Is he in the swing then also? I started putting DD in the crib awake for naps first. I let her do her first nap of the day in the swing to make sure I didn't set us up for a terrible day and then did the crib later so she wasn't overtired. Maybe start with that so he can get used to going in the pnp or crib awake at night once he gets used to it.

Re: At my wits end with DS lack of sleeping
My dad watches DS during the day. He used to fall asleep in the swing there too, but recently he doesn't like my parents swing. My dad has been taking him for walks to get him to sleep because he seems to be a terrible napper as well. I may ask my dad to start putting him in the pack n play at their house for naps so he gets used to it during the day. I don't know what to do anymore. I am a pre-k teacher so I need my rest especially on days I have afterschool until 6pm which of course is today!
