Anyone NOT get 12month blood test?
The ped. never mentioned this to me, but every other child I know went for blood work at 12 months. I don't know too many other children so I was just wondering if this is normal or not. From what I read, it's not...

They did it at 9 months, not 12.Ask your dr

I did call after the fact. They told me 15 months, but I know other children from that office that did it at 12. I feel like they forgot and are just putting it off now, so I wanted to see what the norm was.

Us too - at her 15 month check up she told us to go before her 18 month.

I was given the script at her 12 mo. well check but didn't do it (I was scared  ) until almost 18 months and the ped was fine with that.

I got the script at 12 months, but the ped just said to take him sometime before his 15 month appt. So I think it's fine if you do it a little later.

Ask your Dr mine does it in office and its a finger prick only which was great!! I held off because there was no way she was going to let them stick her arm.
