Angel care monitor
Do you use this in a RNP? I'm thinking no because it goes under a mattress, right?
I was watching LI Medium and a lady's baby dies of SIDS at 24 days so I'm on super SIDS alert now.

Re: Angel care monitor
It won't work in rnp. I love my angelcare mOnitor. I still use it on my dd who is 2. So I know when she escapes her bed at night. I am very paranoid about sids because my cousin lost her dd at 5 mOnths to SIDS. The angelcare monitor gave me peace of mind. Put your dc in the crib with the monitor on. Also keep a fan on in the room it reduces the risk.

Thanks! I'm probably not putting them in their crib right away so I guess I don't need to buy them until later.
I like the escape alert idea LOL

It won't work in the RNP. You need a flat surface to put a board under the matress.
My nephew died of SIDS at 10 weeks last year. Hardest thing I ever had to do was to say goodye to that precious angel. I wouldn't put my baby to sleep in anything that the AngelCare monitor couldn't be used.

I'm so sorry to hear about your nephew. They will be in our room in the rnps so I'm sure I'll be checking them every 4 minutes like the paranoid first time mom I know I'll be.

Re: Angel care monitor
I *LOVE* that monitor. I used to full on until 2 when my cat chewed the wire and it was too close to splice repair.
Still use the sound part and listen to her all the time.
That tic tic was the only way I could sleep. It truly gave me a sense of peace when i couldn't be in the room with her.
ETA: ESPECIALLY as she's such a 'light' sleeper. Not wake up easy type but "is she breathing" type of light. I spent those first 2months with my hand on her belly to feel her breathe (she slept with us). I had stiff shoulders and arms to show for it and it was worth it. Even now at 4 she sleeps so softly and soundly that it scares me. I walk in make noise and no movement from the bed. freaks me out!

Angel care monitor
I had the Angel Care monitor with DD 1. This time we are using the SNUZA. It's a little monitor that clips onto baby's diaper. Could not use it while her belly button was healing, but LOVE it now. I love that she is always being monitored, swing, bed or even in my arms! Had great reviews in Amazon.

Re: Angel care monitor
I had the angel care with my first and loved it, I'm thinking of picking up the SNUZA this time around so I can use it in the car seat and the bouncer. DD spent alot of time napping in there and I would get so anxious about it. Look into the SNUZA.

LOVED the angel care monitor. I used it from the very beginning in the bassinet in my room and then in their cribs.

How were you able to use the monitor in the bassinet? What do you do with the wire?

Is the Snuza loud? I'd be afraid of not hearing it while we are sleeping in another room. I'm trying to decide between this and the angelcare monitor.

Ooh. I never heard of the snuza? Can you still use it when they are older and roll in their bellies?

i literally just purchased it on ebay.from what i read, its even smaller than the picture shows so i assume they can roll over with no problems.
