DS all over a sudden not sleeping in crib?
DS has been SSTN in his crib since he was 10 weeks, he is now almost 5 months. Since about 3 days ago he has not been sleeping in his crib. I'll transfer him over once hes fell asleep on my lap but then he'll wake up every 45mins to be consoled then falls back to sleep. After a while I couldnt take it anymore and needed sleep so I put him in his swing and he has STTN in it for the last few days? any advice? I dont want him to get use to sleeping in the swing again. The first night I thought it was cause he was sick and couldnt breathe when laying down but yesterday he was fine and not congested

Any chance he has teeth coming in? DD slept terribly for a few days before and during cutting her two bottom teeth last week. In your recent posts you mentioned biting while nursing and coughing, both of which DD did recently. I know he was sick but our ped attributed DD's coughing to excess saliva.
DD was waking every hour or so some nights until about 1am. Other nights she was up every 2-3 hours the whole night. Both teeth have fully broken through and now she's back to normal.

I would get him used to falling asleep on his own. If he falls asleep on your lap, then he is old enough now that he will wake up and suddenly realize you aren't there, and doesn't know how to soothe himself back to sleep. Sorry, I'm sure that's not what you want to hear, but I think you need to break him of that habit.

youre probably right. Should i start putting him to bed awake and let him put himself to sleep?

DD did this at 3.5 months. It could be sleep regression. I don't know how to solve it. I dont believe in CIO so she's been co sleeping.

Im going thru this right now. Except, DS has been on all fours in his crib everytime. He's up 3 and 4 times a night. Not sure if teething or just trying to crawl. Last night was the first time he STTN, and it was because we went out and he was very active and went to bed later than usual. ETA Hes 8mos

It's up to you, but that is what I would do. The longer you let it go on, the harder it will be for him to learn to put himself to sleep.
