Need advice on short nappers...
Dd is 4 months old and notorious for napping for like 20-30 mins and then waking up and not wanting to go back to sleep. If I have enough patience, I can eventually get her to go back to sleep for a little but most days, she's up and done... Although she must still be tired right? Any advice for me? Do some kids just nap for that short amount of time?

Need advice on short nappers...
DS was a horrible napper until almost a year. 20 minutes het a half hour there. I just kept trying and eventually he settled into a routine nap. Sorry, I have no advice but to keep trying, and maybe push it back a little later to make sure shes super tired. Good luck!!

DS naps when he is tired and some days he will only nap for 30 mins the entire day. He makes his own schedule and it works for us. He will also sleep anywhere so we can always take him places.

DS was similar and then we coslept. He would wake up, cuddle next to me and go back to sleep. It was a short term solution but became a long term problem because he always wanted to sleep with us.

Need advice on short nappers...
occasionally we can get a good solid 1-2 hours, but more often than not and more when DS was younger, we were lucky to get 20-30 minutes out of him. some kids are just cat nappers.

DD is a short napper too. She'll go 1 hr max some days, but most days it's about 30 minutes. I just try to "tire her out" on her playmat or exersaucer.

Ds was like that for the first 10 weeks or so until he outgrew the fussy peak and then eventually settled into a routine. I tried whenever I could to catch ds before he was overstimulated and then comfort nursed to sleep. See if you can jot down the times your Lo does fall asleep and see if they're clustered around certain times. Maybe he will fall into a pattern

Re: Need advice on short nappers...
I think all babies are different and some just don't nap as well as others. My dd is 9 months and still only naps between a half hour and an hour at a stretch. She does (knock on wood) sleep well at night.
I wish I had a trick or something for you, but the only thing that helps for us, I'm sure you probably know. When she is exhausted and does not want to sleep I put her in the stroller and we go for a walk. It usually puts her right to sleep.
