Its that time of the year, so I did it....
Got myself a second job. Haven't done this since WAAAAAAY back but times are tough and I see no light a-coming.
Its only a part-time seasonal thing but I hope it works out well and I can come back next year.
I'll be at Michaels (LOL if you're gonna work part-time at least have fun) My only issues is I'm going to have to ask for Halloween off to trick or treat with AJ.
Here's to hoping we can have a less stressed holiday season this year!

I give you credit! I know how hard it is to be a FTWM with only ONE job.
I can't imagine having 2.

Good for you! I know how hard it is to be a FTWM with just one job, never mind two. These are the sacrifices we make though and I hope the financial situation gets better and you have tons of fun at Michael's.

I hope its worth it. It would be nice to stop being negative $269 a month before GAS!
I am under no illusions this job will be easy (being away from AJ) or come up with the cash but its SOMETHING!
I think what hurt us this year was the weather. My hubby works on weekends with my uncle doing landscaping but this year we've had such drought, there's been no work for him. So that's a whole summer without that income. He would make $60-$80 a day on any given weekend. It kept us above the water. I put some aside for savings and we're living off that to supplement now. But I worry. We are under $700 in reserves. I hate using savings for regular normal bills. Its supposed to be for big things, emergancies, etc.
Hope this job helps replenish that.
Yep sacrifices we make for our kiddos. She'll never know, never remember, but I hope she'll never suffer either.
Hubby is worried about what to make for one adult one kid on the nights I work. Thank GOD she stays up late so I'll always get to see her.
