Sleeping issues, cosleepers come in....

So our 11 month old son falls asleep in his crib every night. He wakes @ 12-1am. We have tried sleep training, ferber etc. nothing works long term and at this point we are just tired and bring him in our bed.

My issue is, even in our bed he wakes up crying after a couple hours, we give him some bottle, even a couple sips, he falls back asleep only to wake up here or there and each time he has some bottle to get back to sleep.

What do you think the issue is here and any ideas on how to help him STTN in or out of our bed, we aren't picky at this point Chat Icon Chat Icon

I know some babies cry to get themselves in mommy and daddies bed but our son wakes crying once IN our bed which boggles me, thanks Chat Icon

We had the same problem with DS1, except we coslept full time and nursed. I did Dr. Jay Gordon's gentle night weaning approach and DS was STTN 12 hours by night 3 (in our bed). Maybe after that you can try transitioning to the crib. Good luck!

Can you explain more? Is this where you let them nurse a little, until they are just pacifying, then break the latch? When I try this, my LO freaks. Cries, totally wakes himself up. Any advice?

Here is the link to his website. It is a gentle approach geared towards cosleepers and a DC that is a year or older.
