We are going to Ft.Lauderdale 12/26-1/1.

DS will be almost 15 months and my nephew will be 9 months. We were thinking of driving to Disney (either one or two nights) and doing one of the parks (probably Magical Kingdom). The drive is 3.5 hours.

We are getting in early the 26 so we were thinking going the 28th and staying a night or two and heading back to Ft.Laurderdale.

I know the boys are so young they wont remember but they will like it while there.

Would you do it or stay in Ft.Lauderdale and just relax.

We were gungho about going but now we are thinking it may be more trouble then its worth lol

I love Disney, so I would go for it. Even if the kids don't remember I'd still have a great time and like you said I'm sure they'll love it while there. I would take lots of pics and video to show them when they're older. I think it would be worth it but I would plan a really relaxed visit to the park since LO's that age can be temperamental and unpredictable.

Personally, I would just stay in Ft. Lauderdale and relax. We go to Daytona each year to see DH's family and that is only an hour from Disney. Since DD was born we have been there when she was 4 months old and 14 months old. I thought about taking her when were there in May (14 months) but just thought it would be a waste of time and money. If we go next year I might take her just to one of the parks for the day but she will be a little over 2 at that time.

Enjoy the pool and the beach with DS and check to see if they have an aquarium. That may be fun to do.

I love Disney and took my DS at 10 months and he had so much fun. That said, because it's Christmas time I would probably just stay in Ft. Lauderdale. The parks will be nuts, it's a long drive, and in the end you'll probably have more fun just chilling.

I would do it if you stay overnight in Orlando, but not just to drive there for the day and back that night.

I think it might just be a hassle. Do you go to FL together often?? If so I might save for another year.

we do, my parents have a place so we go a couple times a year, I think saving it for next year when they are a little older is probably the best idea

If it were any other week, I would say go for it but not the week between XMas and New Years. I believe this is the single busiest week of the year at Disney. The crowds are supposed to be insane.
