Winter and Convert. car seat!
This is my DS first winter in his convert. car seat! He is still rear facing....last winter he was in the carseat and I was able to put the infant car seat cover over him. I know they say no big, heavy jackets...
How should i dress him????

Winter and Convert. car seat!
I put blankets folded on top of her chest to her feet, tucked it under her after belting her in. I never put a jacket on her since not only its not safe, its not as easy to adjust temp wise. If she got hot just take off a layer of blankets, still hot? take off a layer of blanket.
ETA: I layered her. An undershirt then over shirt. I didn't layer her pants. She'd hate me, plus its a pain to change her. I HATED one-sies in the winter! LOL

I have warm hoodies on them. I warm the car up and turn the heat on before they get in the car. If it's really cold, I'll bring a blanket. I'll also bring their heavy coats with us so we can put them on if need be once we get out of the car.

I have a car starter so I start the car 10 min early and then both kids go in with blankets over them. When we get to wherever we're going they get coats.

Re: Winter and Convert. car seat!
He wore a heavy sweat jacket or thin jacket over his normal clothes. He always wore a hat too.
And like others, I started the car and let it warm up for 10 min or more before putting him in the car. It's a short walk from my door to the car. If we were going shopping, I brought his coat, but again, another short walk from the car to the store.

Re: Winter and Convert. car seat!
A thin fleece jacket is usually okay for the really cold days. Being that we have an attached garage, the car doesn't get too cold, so a lot of times we just do regular clothes with a blanket if need be.
There's also this if it's just TOO cold not to wear a coat:
