Its up to the church and family I guess. My ds was baptized on Sunday and the deacon invited the whole family up to take pics and put all the family kids up on the altar. It was cute. It was my ds, me and DH, the godparents and 8 family kids lol

Yes, we did, but in our church the Pastor invites all children up to the alter so that they can see better and be more involved in bringing another member into the church's family.

MIne was not yet 2 and screamed "mama" until I held him through the whole thing. I held them both at times. Yep. I've got 2 babies!
