Enfamil Gentlease vs...?
We have been using Gentlease since Riley was a few weeks old and it works great for her.
I have been contemplating switching over to Gerber formula, however. I pretty much have stopped getting coupons from Enfamil, but I get SO many for Gerber formulas, and they are big coupons.
Does anyone know what Gerber's equivilent is to Gentlease formular?
Unfortunately cost is a big factor for us, as much as I'd like to keep with what we've been using!

I think the Good Start Gentle would be the equivalent.

When DS was on formula he took Enfamil Gentlease. After 5 weeks I switched him to the Target brand. If you look at the ingredients, they are exactly the same. Made by the same manufacturer but sold by a different company. Much cheaper and it's still the same stuff.

We also used the target brand after a few months on the gentlease and I was very pleased. Same stuff, cheaper and son guzzled it!!

We did the switch to the Target brand as well and DD transitioned without any issue at all. SO much cheaper and you can get the huge tubs.

I too used the Target version of gentlease with DS. (As well as CVS and Rite Aid versions, read why below) He had no problems switching to it and no problems while on it and it was sooooo much cheaper then brand name.
They are NOT however made by the same manufacturer. Enfamil is exclusively made by Mead Johnson. Most store brand formulas are made by a USA based company, PBM products. You can find a ton of information about generic formulas at:
http://www.storebrandformula.com/
(Sorry, I can't direct link from my phone)
All of the store brand formulas listed on this page: http://www.storebrandformula.com/buy-baby-formula.aspx are made by PBM, so if you have CVS dollars, or participate in the BRU VIB program, or shop in BJ's all of the generic formula is the same (obviously sticking to the "just like Enfamil Gentlease" one, not just grabbing whatever can)
And IMO, best of all, its a USA based company with their manufacturing plants in VT and OH, and their ingredients are sourced from North American countries.

Re: Enfamil Gentlease vs...?
Good start has a different composition - I think it is an all whey product.
Store brands are so not the same. Look at the actual ingredients ( I found this out the hard way). They do not partially break down the proteins. If you look at the label you will see that.

This.. and walmart brand. Stopped spending money on the name brand pretty early.
Plus she only stayed on it for about 6m then the doc had me move her into standard Lipil.

I did this too.
I also noticed that they have been emailing coupons lately and you can save the link and print them out again on another computer later and get a later expiration date.

Re: Enfamil Gentlease vs...?
We tried Gentlease with DD and it did not agree with her. Then our ped suggested Good Start Soothe which is new and it works great. We love it.
