Whining

My DD is 13.5 months and whines, and whines, and whines. It actually pretty annoying lol She understands a lot of what I say, and she babbles and babbles in baby talk all day, but when she wants something she will point and whine, or whine when she doesn't get her way, or whine when she's not happy.
I know this is her form of communication right now since she only says a couple words, but is there anything I can do to get it to stop? If I say stop whining, she stops for like 5 seconds lol I always say what things are to her, water, food, etc..

Re: Whining

It doesn't end.
DD is 2 and can speak so much more than she could back then of course, and she STILL choses to whine.
She wakes up every monring and whines in the crib until I get her.
She goes to sleep at night and whines herself to sleep.
She doesn't ask for something she WHINES

It is maddening!!!

Oh God help me, it literally sounds like a tortured animal. I may go crazy. I have been giving her the paci more lately just to keep her quiet. I HATE giving her that thing unless it's bed time, but I am so embaressed when she does it in public.

DD is 2 and can communicate and talk, however, still chooses to whine. It's incredibly annoying and I always tell her to stop, which of course doesn't work.

She wants something, she whines.
She doesn't like something, she whines.
You bother her, she whines.

This morning I had the NERVE to ask her if she wanted some milk.
She whined for 20 minutes because of that one question!

LOL!
Oh this morning it wasn't milk. I asked her if she wanted to take her peanut butter and jelly sandwich with her and there were no words, just whine, whine, whine. A simple "no" would've sufficed. Chat Icon

Whining

My DD is 3.5 and whines a lot. I told her I don't understand the whine language. Lol. I ignore her and tell her when she is ready to talk normally then I will listen. Usually works, until the next day.

I actually saw a binky that said mute button on it!
I used to crack up whenever I saw the little boy at my DD's daycare with it in his mouth!
