Any suggestions. . .
for a fall weekend getaway with a 16-17 month old?
It doesn't have to be completely kid centered at this age but also can't be a romantic getaway. Any ideas?

Mystic, Connecticut, A night upstate and you can go apple picking/pumpkin picking , hayrides etc. A weekend out east, Riverhead Aquarium, apple/p;umpkin picking, the outlets. If you don't mind a little farther of a drive baltimore Harbor is great. Philly is nice and the Please Touch Museum and Philly Zoo are great. HTH.

Thanks so much! These are all great ideas! We spent a weekend out east last month so upstate, CT, Philly and baltimore are all going on my list. I love apple/pumpkin picking and we were debating turning that into a weekend or just going locally. Thanks again for your great suggestions.

Any suggestions. . .
We took DS to Mystic for the weekend in July. He was 14 months, we had a great time! We loved the aquarium and the seaport. We ate at Mystic Pizza and a great restaurant on the water, which I can't remember the name of right now. We also went for ice cream, looked in all the shops, it was a great 2 days.!

Glad I could help. We did lots of weekends away with my dd when she was younger. She was a great traveler and we loved taking her places. Those were definitely three of my faves.

Thanks! We've taken DS on vacation a few times and he's done well. Hoping he continues to be a great traveler. I just feel we need a mini break with a change of scenery. I've been to Mystic but it was a long time ago and without kids. I have some research to do! Thanks so much!
