Swimming classes for 6 month old?
Does Safe-T offer swim classes for 6 mo olds? Is it like a mommy and me, does mommy go in the pool also? Are there any other places besides Safe-T that have classes for babies? Sorry for all of the questions
I'm in Bayside willing to go to Nassau. TIA!

Yea, Saf-T-Swim offers Mommy and Me classes for 6 month olds. I have heard great things about it!

Re: Swimming classes for 6 month old?
Yes, we did both the Mommy and Me (DS was 4 months old) and private lessons right after it ended. Safe-T-Swim offers free private lessons for babies under 6 months old. We go to Safe-T-Swim in Suffolk.
Mommy and Me, we were both in the water together, along with 8 other mommies and babies. Private lessons was just him and the instructor.

Thanks girls. Do you think it's worth it to start her early or is it really for mommy at ts point?

Re: Swimming classes for 6 month old?
IMO... Waste.
We went to the pool all summer with our DD who is now 8 months.
She naturally looks like she is swimming and glides along. I think I could do swim classes in the tub.
DS would be ready at 2 if we had a pool in our backyard. We dont (belong to community pool), so they start swim at 4.

If your not going to be consistent with them then one on one is a waste. My DD has been in safe-t-swim since she was an infant and is a great swimmer! She's just over 3 learning to dive, she can swim the width of the pool, can roll from big arms to her back and is learning the back stroke. DS just started when he was 4 mo.

That's what I figured. We're in the process of a potential move so I think I may wait on starting the lessons until we can be consistent at the same place. Thanks girls!
