picky eater

If you would say your child is a picky eater, were they always this way? For example, did they eat everything when they were younger but lost interest as they got older? When we first started purees, dd was horrible at eating. She would spit it out, scream her head off and flat out refused to eat anything other than bottles. Things finally got better around 8 months when we started.giving her table food. Now she is almost 10 months and will eat anything. She eats fish, steak, chicken. She even eats spicy foods like curry and chili and goes nuts for it. Her favorite meal is rice and beans with chicken! I'm soo happy with this bc I was a terrible eater until adulthood and basically ate unhealthy foods my whole childhood (hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets). Just wondering if its too early or not to tell her eating habits. Hope that made sense.

my DD was the opposite. She ate everything when she was younger now at 20 months old she barely eats anything she likes about 5 things it drives me insane things she use to eat she wont eat anymore!!!

My DD is very picky at 2.5 and has been this way from birth. My DS is an amazing eater at 5 now and has been off and on his whole life. I think it is wayyyy too early to tell - I have several friends and family members that had great eaters until 18 mos and by 3 they were awful and would only eat a limited menu.
