Alone Play
DD is 17 months, for the past month or so every waking moment she needs to be playing with DH or I. If we walk away from her or get up (we must be sitting on the floor) she has a complete meltdown.
As much as I love playing with her, playing all day (I'm a SAHM) just isn't cutting it anymore. She even throws a fit when I get off the floor to go to the bathroom
I can handle listening to a tantrum, but my question is...is this normal? Do your LO's play by themselves at all at this age? What can I do??
I obviously wouldn't leave her where it's not safe....but it would be nice to be able to fold some laundry or do some dishes and have her be occupied for a few minutes where I can see her

Re: Alone Play
My daughter went through this phase... She is just about 23 months now and has been able to play on her own for a good 20 minutes or so (more on good days and much less on not so good days..lol)... She keeps herself busy coloring, "reading" books and playing with her dolls. She has been doing this for the past month/month and a half.
