Elecare Formula
Just curious if your child was put on Elecare as a baby if they outgrew their milk allergy at a year old??

My nephew was on elecare and was on whole milk at a year with no problems

My DD was on elecare from the time she was 4 weeks old. I took her for allergy testing at 10 months and she was fine but left her on elecare til she was 1 year
now 14 months and no issues at all

DS was on it until 15 months but he also had a severe soy allergy. He was ok with dairy by a year. But soy was still a problem.

DD was on elecare and had her tested at 1 year and allergy was gone. Her doctor said her allergy was severe.

My DS was on Neocate (same type but different brand). At 15 months he switched to Neocate Jr. and at 2 1/2 we went to soy milk. We get him tested every year and he still hasn't outgrown the milk allergy yet. The allergist said it might be until he is 5.

This is kind of where we are. 15 months DS is on Neocate Jr. Was just tested and blood test indicated high milk protein allergy.

yes,
We started to "test" him at about 7 months with yogurt and it wasn't good. We stopped, then started again about 10 months very slowly. Things were ok, then we transitioned to milk slowly and everything was fine.
My older DS was on Alimentum and outgrew his allergy by 1 yr also

Oh great, happy to read some of these. Not sure what the GI dr plans on doing at his 6 month app't, but he told me he was going to hold off on yogurt until 9 months. I'm hoping DS outgrows this.
