Sudden fear of loud noises?
DD is 14 months. Since Monday she seems to be acting very strange. She is suddenly terrified of loud noises that she is used to. For example, we live within earshot of a fire department siren. She's used to the sound - hears it everyday. Since Monday she hears it and bursts into terrified screaming cries and runs over to me. She heard the train the other day, and while she didn't freak out, she stopped what she was doing and had a scared look on her face until it was gone. Same thing with a plane.
Another way she's acting weird - Yesterday I was on the phone and DD was playing with a toy. I told her to come over to say bye bye to the person on the phone and she burst into the terrified screaming cry like she does with the siren and ran over to me practically jumping on my lap.
She's always been afraid of the vacuum. DH usually does it when she's not home, but tonight I have to do it while she's home. I'm wondering if it's going to be complete torture for her.
Nothing new since this weekend. We had a busy weekend, but nothing crazy. I can't figure it out. She's been sleeping later in the mornings. She used to be up at 6am and is now sleeping until at least 7am, sometimes even 8am. That started this weekend too.
Normal behavior? Anyone else deal with this?
