Dh asked me what I might want for my big 30th bday coming up. I really want a good high quality camera. Something that is easy to use, takes great photos and is easy to upload. My budget is up to 1200. Tell me which cameras you love and why! Tia

I always recommend this site:

It has good, extensive reviews of lots of cameras, and you can select which options are important to you, and it narrows down the list of possibilities.
I used this to help pick out my T3i....

I would do either a Canon T3i or a Sony a57 if I were starting from scratch. Find a couple cameras that you like spec wise and go see them in the store. Touch them, play with them. Get the one that feels best in your hands and that feels the most intuitive for you.
